Conservative Host Armstrong Williams said "history thrusts me to really seriously think about it" as his justification for considering voting for Barak Obama. So now you're a black supremacist Mr. Williams? SHAME SHAME SHAME!
When you consider a candidate you’ve many factors to consider. You’ll want someone who represents you on many fronts, namely ideology. So when I read the report on OneNewsNow.com that some conservatives are considering voting for Barak Obama, even though they don't believe he represents their ideology, I could only conclude their motive was race, for these Conservatives and, most shocking, Pastors being the same color as Obama!
Frankly I am ashamed of them, and angry they would be so foolishly bigoted.
Would you vote for a candidate you know is totally against everything you believe in just because he's white? And if you vote racist what would the whole world be right in calling you? So we must now apply the same standard to these men who would dare vote on race. You, Mr. Armstrong Williams and T. D. Jakes, are black supremacists if you are only voting for Obama because "history" shows he might be the first black President.
SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on you!
When I was a child I had learned a valuable lesson from my father and didn't even realize how wise he was when I first came in contact with racism. I was 6 and while a close relative was visiting us in Texas he told me I couldn't go play with my best friend because he was "black." I was confused. I didn't understand because I didn't even know what he meant. I had never heard the term used. It was many years later when I found out why he had said that.
Not wanting to be disrespectful I went to my dad and asked him what being "black" meant. And my wonderful Pop, to his everlasting credit, patted me on the head, smiled and said, "Don't worry about it son. It doesn't mean anything. You can go to your friend’s house and play as long as you want." I ran off, happily oblivious to the hatred I had just encountered.
My Dad had never taught me to identify people by race. And whenever I have been tempted by others to do so I have rejected it as the error it is. I was taught right, and when I became a man I realized Dad had taught me what was true.
So why haven't Conservatives like Armstrong Williams, and Pastors like T. D. Jakes, learned that to classify anyone by race is wrong? Last I checked that was the exact point of Martin Luther King Jr.'s ministry! When you grow to adulthood you are supposed to evaluate what you have learned against the Truth and reject what is wrong. I managed to understand classifying anyone by race is in error, so what happened to these men?
So what will you do on election day? Will you be bigoted and vote for a woman because you are a woman? Will you vote for someone who is for open homosexuality because you also engage in that sin? Will you be racist and vote for someone of your own color, regardless of their ideology? If you would do any of these then you are just as wrong as these men.
Your dads should train you about bigotry by teaching what is right so when you come in contact with this hatred you will know how wrong it is. But even if your own Dad, or whoever raised you, had been racist, even if yours was, Mr. Armstrong Williams, you are responsible for doing what is right, regardless.
Pastor Jakes, Armstrong Williams and all these conservatives listed in this article, DO NOT vote for Barak Obama just because he is the first man of your color to come close to being president.
Don't be so foolish. Don't be racist. Vote Biblically. Vote for the RIGHT reasons not for all the wrong ones.
As with everything we do in life we must do what is right, following what is TRUE. It's what my Dad would want his children to do. It's what My Father in Heaven wants you to do too.
Thank you, Dad, for teaching me how to think rightly… I love you.
Happy Father's Day
