Even the Smallest Things

Ok, so, sometimes I get forgetful when I’m in a hurry. –
I left early so that I could get home and take my wife out for her 50th birthday. I managed to get through all the traffic and I was going to get home at a nice early hour. I’d stopped in Denville New Jersey where I normally take my health break from all the driving from Long Island to Pennsylvania. And when I got back to my car I realized I had not only locked one set of keys in the car but both, and there a roadside assistance was going to take an hour and a half to get there. So I managed to get some coat hangers from a local cleaners and borrowed some door jambs from a local Art Studio and went to work trying to unlock the door. 30 minutes into it my hand was getting sore and I was getting frustrated in the cold. Ok, the art supply store owner did come out and showed she was worried; That I’d been standing out there too long. I assured her I wouldn’t be much longer if I didn’t get it soon.

“You know Lord”, I said, “I could use some help here.” I realized that I had been standing there for 30 minutes and didn’t ask for Jesus to help me yet. I’d managed to hook my steering wheel about 4 times, but I just couldn’t get that door lock to pull back with that coat hanger concoction I had made. “Actually, couldn’t you just have an Angel open this door?”, I said as I looked up smiling at the ridiculousness of this situation; I was still holding the wire. When I looked down the hook was jammed right in the door lock. “Wow, thanks Jesus!”, I said. I imagined a grinning Angel right then pushing that hook into the lock with his index finger.
For 30 minutes I’d been trying and didn’t even get close, and yet right when I prayed He did that. I couldn’t even pull it out, it was THAT stuck. So I yanked hard and, “Pop!”, the door opened.

How cool was that??!

Yes, God cares about the little things, all you have to do is ask, believing. I know what I’m talking about, it’s happened to me many, many times. Ask me and I’ll tell you.

Delighted, I got back on the road and made it in time to take my special girl out. We had a very nice dinner together at Texas Roadhouse, her favorite restaurant.

Thank you Lord, I appreciate how you care about even the smallest things. It really makes us, me, feel very well loved.

Yes, God does love you; He loves you SO much your Creator DIED IN YOUR PLACE for you to be forgiven. What exactly are you waiting for again?

“All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved…”

It’s your choice, it’s always been your choice to make. If you end up in Hell you decided to go there. But that is NOT God’s will for you. Will you let Jesus save you or not?

The God Who Answers

This happened to me yesterday…

Sat, Jan 6, 2018 – I was desperate.

It was 10° F, the wind in the parking lot was gusting around the corners and freezing my hands. I couldn’t pull a single fuze to determine why my car’s heater had stopped. And I had, in my stupor from the latest RSV Cold, forgotten my coat at home, 3 hrs away. Of course I was sure someone had stolen it too. But that was when the heat in my car was working so I couldn’t remember. I had a squall jacket on, and a warm sweater, but the 30mph wind gusts were enhanced by the corner of the building. I was in real trouble. And I was getting upset.

My wife had called me and asked to please come home early, the kids were sick now too. I needed HEAT to drive the 3 hrs!

I was in danger and I was worried I wouldn’t make it out.

As I dug through my car for tools, tossing the entire backseat, I was so alarmed I yelled out in my closed car, “I need help LORD!! PLEASE HELP ME!” In my desperate cry I was very afraid, and upset I had been so stupid; I got Loud.

I’ve been in this situation before when I was in the Coast Guard in 40 foot waves on a 62 foot cutter; when I was trying to pull the Towing Houser line off the spool in the hold, getting sick in the bucket between my feet, getting dizzier every minute from my hypo-glycemia. I had faced having only enough money for gas and one month’s rent -and $10 left over -and no job, as I drove the several hundred miles I needed to get there in my Volkswagen van, having just enough gas. I had faced that desperation when that same van broke down; $10 doesn’t fix much. God showed me what was broken miraculously that time.

I’ve been in that fear, looking in the face of my children when they’re so sick you’re afraid of what’s going to happen next.

I’ve cried out to God in the quiet room, waiting to hear whether my son had lived through his accident.

This situation was not new to me. And what I have learned is when you cry out to God He hears you; He hears those who are His and expect Him to reply.

Jesus is the God Who Answers

And Jesus says you must call in faith KNOWING He’ll answer, nothing wavering in your heart. But when your hands are SO cold you can’t pull out a fuse, and you don’t know what to do, you tend to forget. He understands. Remember, Jesus has been here, He gets it.

Pour out your heart to God, for He cares for you.

A gentle voice said then, only moments after my terrible cry, and said so quietly I nearly missed it, “Can I help you brother? You look like you’re in trouble.” Yeah, God is like that, and He’s done that many times for me.

A mechanic of 40 years experience had heard me, heard my fear, and had knocked on my window. God sent just the right guy. Vinny wouldn’t even help until I got inside and warmed up; he CARED. It was just a fuse and he quickly resolved the problem. I took his number and promised to buy him a cup of coffee next time I was in town. I had NO cash. He smiled and waved as I drove away.

In my nice warm car now, I went straight to Sears and bought the best jacket they had. It was $150 and I got it for $39.95 plus tax (I also bought heavy construction pants warm enough to make you sweat even in 30 mile an hour winds at 10 degrees F. And yep that was on sale too!). I had learned my lesson and I wasn’t going to repeat my mistake.

Jesus will never leave you or forsake you.

Listen, God doesn’t expect you not to get desperate and afraid and cry out to Him, just remember it’s Him you call on.  HE ANSWERS.

And if you don’t know Jesus yet, what are you waiting for? His invitation is still available to you. Jesus paid the price for what you’ve done wrong, for what you’re going to have to pay for in on Judgement Day without Him. Jesus wants to rescue you, all you have to do is trust in Him, receive His gift, His payment for you, and then live a life of thank you. So let me ask again, What are you waiting for?

See, not only does Jesus save you from what you deserve, He also rescues you when you’ve done something stupid, and you’re in trouble. But He only takes care of His own; You must trust in Him to be His. It’s just as easy as a child accepting a gift, and God never takes it back, so do it NOW. He loves you after all, and He wants to save you, save everyone.

Will you let Him?

The Truth About the Shooting In Vegas

However, there was a terrorist attack here in Las Vegas Oct 1, which killed 59 people injured over 500 people but has not been reported as a terrorist attack!

The gunman according to infowars.com high trusted sources, stated that the owners of MGM have ties to Islam, and they own the Mandalay Bay hotel where these individuals were able to bring in over 20 weapons and thousands of rounds of ammo in 10 pieces of luggage into a suite undetected by security! Yeah right!
They also have knowledge this guy turned Muslim and became a jihadist and had to have had help pulling this off!

Police in Vegas, are not being allowed to report the truth of the incident. Gee wonder why? Jihadist group already claimed victory for the shooting in Vegas! They love to brag!

Video on YouTube clearly shows a room service receipt for food for 2 people, and there is a video of gun fire coming from the 4th floor as well. The video also shows the shooter Paddock arriving on 9/25 through parking garage video date stamped.

God knows what really happened! Praise God He is in charge!
Many have come to faith since this attack! May many more place their trust fully on Jesus unto salvation!

God Bless you Brother!! ?

Are You Borrowing Trouble?

We reserve the right…

What is the big deal? WHY are there so many companies suddenly offering to secure your IP address at home against data farming? When you access the internet from home you can be traced. Did something happen that allowed your home internet address to be unprotected by Law, to be shared by your ISP (internet service provider) without your permission?

Isn’t Jesus your shield?

Well apparently Avast thinks so! I’m not sure yet, though, that this isn’t just a sales scam, as my own hosting company has told me they would never give out my meta-data without my permission, and nothing has changed about that And yet Avast, and a company called VirtualShield, just started offering SecureLineVPN© in response to what they claim is a change in the law governing your privacy against data farming on the internet without your permission. Before this alleged change you had to willingly approve the selling of your meta-data by your internet provider, but now you don’t? Hmm…

noun: metadata
1.a set of data that describes and gives information about other data.
Powered by Oxford Dictionaries

In a discussion with a security representative of my own hosting company he explained that this claim of wanton meta-data farming was not true. So what’s going on? Why the sudden push from Avast, and others like them?

Well Avast (Digital River) has this in their privacy statement:

To Comply With Legal Requirements, Cooperate With Law Enforcement, Prevent Fraud and Other Crimes, and Protect Legal Rights, Property, You and Others. . To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may disclose the personal information we collect on this Property without notifying you when we, in good faith, believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law or a regulatory requirement; to comply with governmental, administrative or judicial process, requirement or order, such as a subpoena or court order; to cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental investigations (without necessarily requiring the law enforcement or government agency requesting the information to formally serve us with a subpoena); to prevent or investigate a possible crime, such as fraud or identity theft; to enforce a contract; to protect the legal rights, property or safety of Digital River, its corporate affiliates, and their respective employees, clients and partners and agents, other users or the public in general; or to protect your vital interests if determined necessary by us. In addition, we may review our server logs for security purposes, such as detecting intrusions into our network. If we suspect criminal activity, we may share our server logs – which contain visitors’ IP addresses – with the appropriate investigative authorities who may use that information to trace and identify individuals. We also reserve the right to report to appropriate law enforcement or government agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe are or may be in violation of applicable laws, rules or regulations without providing notice to you.

Well, ain’t that nice? They can give your private data out, “without necessarily requiring the law enforcement or government agency requesting the information to formally serve us with a subpoena.”
And what about this? “We also reserve the right to report to appropriate law enforcement or government agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe are or may be in violation of applicable laws, rules or regulations without providing notice to you.”* So if Avast thinks, just thinks, you are in violation of the law (like this amorphose interpretation of LGBT “rights” so many social media providers are claiming is protected against under civil law) like the free speech from Christians of homosexual behavior being sinful under God’s definition in the Bible, well then Avast hereby informs us they will inform the ‘appropriate’ authorities of your comments? Wow. So maybe you DO need that secured VPN tunnel after all? Or do you? …

See, it’s like this Christian, are you supposed to protect yourself against persecution? I mean, if what you are doing is what God intends you to do, aren’t you supposed to, “turn the other cheek”, a-la Luke 6:29 and Matthew 5.39? Remember, this is the only time in Scripture, when you are doing what God says to do, in rendering a Biblical response, that, when smacked down for it, you are not to respond with anything but gentleness?

…and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

So then, whether this change in the law is true or not, should we as Christians hide behind a cloak of secrecy or shouldn’t we rather stop trying to hide our light, our candle under a basket? Or can you really? Won’t that candle light the basket ablaze even more brightly if you try? Is there a limit to how much you expose yourself, though?

Mark 4:21 (KJV) And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

Well there you go… I was just about to put this on Linkedin, where I wrote this in the first place, and then realized that’s not hiding to post it to the ministry page on Facebook instead, it’s just common sense: It’s common sense not to advertise where you live, who you are… that’s basic common sense on the internet.

Proverbs 26:17 (KJV) He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.

In other words, don’t be so naive as to borrow trouble? Well that verse doesn’t actually say that. But sending this article to a site you know you will lose work to post Christian content on, well isn’t that the same thing as taking a strange dog by the ears? After all, publisher trvrntly let me go “at will” for “politial reasons”. No reason to let others do so if we can help it.

I was a younger man when I lived with an elder couple, as they mentored me in The LORD. And this was a repeated warning from them both, so let me give you an example what this “borrowing trouble” might look like…

I was waiting to join the Coast Guard. I knew it was going to be at least 6 months before I could get accepted, due to the wait, so I applied for work at an auto parts store. And when they asked me where I expected to be in 5 years I answered what I thought was honestly. DUMB DUMB DUMB. I was being naive, because that question is designed to entrap you. I really had no idea if I was ever going to be accepted, but when I did answer I didn’t get the job and nearly starved while I waited. I had to, as a Christian mind you, work in a bar restocking their alchohol. The influence of that place was not good for a young believer.

See? This is how to weigh out a matter. Read the Bible enough to know what God says and check each other…

Romans 15:14 KJV

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

So get the secure VPN tunnel if you want, if you can afford it, especially if it turns out Avast is right! I’ve emailed Avast directly to qualify their claims; We’ll see what they say.

Luke 11:36 (KJV) If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

As our own President has said to the UN, a nation’s priority is the protection of it’s people, and that must always be ALL it’s people, not just a select vocal few. If indeed this nation has passed laws to allow our privacy to be further encroached upon, allowed a small group to use the Law to protect their depravity, then me must respond, as God’s People should, as His spokespersons, without fear of reprisals.

After all, God is our refuge and strength, why should we be afraid?

Just don’t go around kicking powerful men in the teeth, and use sense with your private daata on the internet.

A Sovereign Freedom

Why don’t we leave this enigma (of man’s God ordained free will) within the divine mind and just be grateful for the privilege that we have heard His voice and we can turn and follow Him? -Ravi Zacharias

Well said Ravi, well said.
