Where Is Your Mother, Mr. President?

Mr. President,

I write to you after learning what you have apparently concluded about Jesus Christ on what Christianity says will happen to your mother on Judgment Day:

I do not believe that my mother, who never formally embraced Christianity as far as I know, went to hell.” -President Obama http://ht.ly/2wMl6

I am sorry to know you have doubts about your mother’s destiny, Mr. President. That is always a very hard place to be. It is fairly difficult these days to get a straight answer about such hard questions but I will endeavor to answer you honestly and faithfully. Please, forgive me if what I say seems callous but it is far better to be honest and be judged harsh than to let you enter Hell deceived. Wouldn’t you agree?
You have wondered if your mother is in Hell. I believe the question we must answer is better asked, “Does anyone deserve Hell?”
My opinion does not matter in the least, but God’s does. So what does the Bible say? Let’s take a look together and I believe you will have your answer clearly and concisely provided at the end of this letter. I thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. My hope is that you will receive what I have written in the aire in which it is intended, that of a desire to see you soundly saved and God glorified. I have borrowed content where I deemed it convenient to making the point. In no way do I claim any of this as my own idea, but that I wholly believe EVERY WORD you can surely trust. So let’s get to it…

Does anyone deserve Hell?

Mr. President, your mother, just like us all, has to be judged for her works. You must be judged by God at your death, as do I, to see if we deserve eternal life with God in Heaven. No one gets into Heaven unless they have been accepted by God.
Hebrews 9:27 “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,”
The question we must ask ourselves is, “Am I good enough to go to Heaven?
The Ten Commandments are God’s standards so let’s go through a few of them and see how you do…

God’s Rules

“You shall have no other gods before me.”
Have you always put God first in your life? Jesus said to love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength– so much, that your love for your parents, brothers and sisters, friends, and even your own life is like hatred compared to your love and devotion for God. Have you ever failed to put Him first in your life?
“You shall not commit adultery.”
Jesus warned,” You have heard…’You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Have you ever looked at another person with lust? The Bible says that adulterers and fornicators (those who have had sex before marriage) will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
“You shall not murder.”
Jesus warned “Whoever is angry with his brother without cause, is in danger of judgment,” (Matthew 5:22) and the Bible says, “He who hates his brother is a murderer,” (1 John 3:15). God sees hatred in the heart to be as wicked as murder. We can violate His Law by attitude and intent.
“You shall not steal.”
Have you ever stolen anything (even if it was something small)? The value of the thing stolen doesn’t matter; petty theft is still theft. Have you ever taken anything that belonged to someone else (from the office, school, parents, etc.)? If you have, that makes you a thief.
“You shall not lie.”
Have you ever told a lie? Then you are a liar. How many murders do you have to commit to be a murderer? Just one. If you have told even one lie, that makes you a liar. The Bible warns that all liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8). You may not think deceitfulness is a serious sin, but God does.
“You shall not make for yourself any idol.”
Who is God to you? Is he only a god of love and mercy who would never judge anyone and never cast anyone into Hell? If that’s your god, then you’re right. Your god couldn’t cast anyone into Hell because he doesn’t exist. He’s a figment of your imagination. You’ve created a god in your own mind that you’re more comfortable with. You may call it your “personal belief,” but God calls it idolatry. It’s the oldest sin in the Book, and the Bible warns that idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Is your mother in the lake of fire, Mr. President? Only God knows for He is the Judge, not us. But the question is, Mr. President, are you going there?

God’s Judgment

Revelation 21: 8
“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

What is Hell like?

There are three words translated “Hell” in Scripture:
Gehenna (Greek): The place of punishment (
Matthew 5:22,29; 10:28; and James 3:6)
Hades (Greek): The abode of the dead (
Matthew 11:23; 16:18; Luke 16:23; Acts 2:27)
Sheol (Hebrew): The grave (
Psalm 9:17; 16:10)

There are those who accept that Hell is a place of punishment, but believe that the punishment is to be annihilated—to cease conscious existence. They can’t conceive that the punishment of the wicked will be conscious and eternal. If they are correct, then a man like Adolph Hitler, who was responsible for the deaths of millions, is being “punished” merely with eternal sleep. His fate is simply to return to the non-existent state he was in before he was born, where he doesn’t even know that he is being punished.

However, Scripture paints a different story. The rich man who found himself in Hell (Luke 16:19-31) was conscious. He was able to feel pain, to thirst, and to experience remorse. He wasn’t asleep in the grave; he was in a place of “torment.” If Hell is a place of knowing nothing or a reference to the grave into which we go at death, Jesus’ statements about Hell make no sense. He said that if your hand, foot, or eye causes you to sin, it would be better to remove it than to “go into Hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:43-48).

The Bible refers to the fate of the unsaved with such fearful words as the following:

Revelation 14:10,11 tells us the final, eternal destiny of the sinner: “He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone…the smoke of their torment ascended up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day or night.”

Who is Good?

Psalm 14 (WEB)

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt.
They have done abominable works.
There is none who does good.
Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who did understand, who did seek after God.
They have all gone aside.
They have together become corrupt.
There is none who does good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?…

As you can see, no one makes the grade with God.
Mr. President, if you reject Jesus because you don’t believe God would send your your mother to Hell, that you cannot accept God’s judgment for that reason, then you are in mortal danger of ensuring you will be cast into the Lake of Fire by God Himself. You cannot merely set aside the decision of whether to trust Jesus; To not decide is to reject Him. Hell is reserved for all who reject the Mercy of Jesus. But that is NOT God’s will for you…

God does not want ANYONE to perish.

He is rich in mercy and compassion, and has provided a way for you to be forgiven. He invites you to come to Him for a full pardon and receive the free gift of Eternal Life. You cannot earn it, and you do not deserve it, but God is offering it to you as proof of His love for you.
The Bible says that the God of the Universe became a man (Jesus Christ), and suffered and died on the cross for your sins and mine so that we could be set free. It’s as simple as this—we broke the Law, and Jesus paid our fine.

“God demonstrated His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us.” (Galatians 3:13)

Do you see God’s great love for you? Do you see your need for His forgiveness? Do what He commands and “Repent…that your sins may be wiped out and times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19) You must turn away from sin and turn to God. Desire to have NOTHING to do with sin, and surrender your life to the only One who can save you. Jesus died to set you free, and then he rose from death to be your Lord. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) If you will confess and forsake your sins (repent) and trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, God will forgive you and you’ll pass from death to life. If you are not sure how to pray, read Psalm 51 and make it your prayer. But there is a very important matter about trusting Jesus many claiming to be God’s spokesman fail to make understood…

Many Profess But Not Many Possess God’s Forgiveness

What does it mean to “put your faith in Jesus Christ?” The Bible says, “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ…” and you will be saved. There are millions of people who “believe” Jesus exists . . . but they have not put on the Savior—there’s a BIG difference. And the difference will be obvious when you pass through the door of death. There are many who will say “Lord, Lord” in that day and Jesus will say “Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you.” Many profess the name of Jesus but they never possess his forgiveness in repentance.

So today, with all your heart—turn away from all sin, and surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Please don’t put it off till later. You may die today and then it will be too late. God will transform you from the inside out when you surrender to Him and entrust your soul to Jesus. You will think and feel differently as you learn to trust and obey Him. God will give you new strength to live right and love Him above all else. Then read your Bible daily and obey His Word. You can trust God—He loves you and will always be faithful. If you’ve decided to reject the gift of forgiveness and you die in your sins, there is no hope for you. There is no purgatory. The wrath of God abides on you and you will spend eternity in Hell according to the Bible.

Contact me at Response@OnlyjesusSaves,.com and we will arrange a time for us to speak privately if you would like.

But rest assured, Mr President, the judgment of Jesus Christ is always just.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,
My desire is to see you rescued from your sin and giving Jesus glory.

  1. So you say liars should not have to pay for their sin in Hell forever? You say that judgment is too harsh? You’re saying you know better than God?
    Let’s examine those claims….
The reason we think lies are no big deal is because we are just sinners; if someone lies against us it’s no big deal, right? But there is something vital you fail to understand (and deliberately too). If you lie to a police officer you can go to jail; If you lie to Congress it’s treason and traitors can get the death sentence! What changed, why the different punishments when they are all the same crime? Do you not understand the punishment is determined by who you lie to?

The Bible says that all liars will have their place in the Lake of Fire. God is eternal and all sin is against Him. When you sin against Eternal God your punishment is also eternal. Eternal Hell is for all who sin against Just and Holy God!

But what else have you forgotten?

    GOD IS MERCIFUL!
“God demonstrated His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us.” (Galatians 3:13)

If you’ve decided to reject the gift of forgiveness and die still in your sins, there is no more hope for you. There is no purgatory, there is no way to be prayed out of Hell. The wrath of God abides on you; you will spend eternity in Hell according to the Bible. Rest assured, whether you choose to obey God or not, God’s action are just.

  2. amy johnson says:

I know the Bible talks about hell but to go around telling everyone they are going to hell seems like the Westboro Baptist freaks. Law to the proud grace to the humble but the punishment will fit the crime, billions of years of torture isn’t exactly what a lying thief deserves
